El Pinet

In the south of the municipal district of Elche, on an impressive strip of dunes, one finds the beach known as El Pinet, with a vast pine forest that has a natural extension to the south of the coast of Guardamar del Segura, and to the north, in the Nature Reserve of las Salinas (the salt marshes) of Santa Pola.

Formed of fine, golden sand, it extends over nearly two kilometres -it is a bech designated as non-urban for the protection and preservation of its environmental characteristics- and the Moll de les Salines (salt pans). The setting is almost like a movie, with dunes that keep a watch on us during our bath. We recommend visiting some section of the platforms and wooden walkways that will make us enjoy this natural phenomenon.

Part of the beach is occupied with villas, built in the 1950s, where we can find restaurants and accommodation on the seashore.

In addition, there are first aid and rescue services, foot showers, a large parking area and numerous wooden walkways connecting the access to the beach with the road, a beach bar, beach chairs and sun shade rental service and public toilets.

A regular bus service runs between El Pinet beach and Elche.
