Almoradí is the heart of the Vega Baja district due to
the place it is located but also to its culture and sociology.
It stills being an agricultural town but it also
stands out by the urban development of the coast, and by the presence of the
furniture trade.
The theater production of Teatro Cortés makes Almoradí
culturally transecendental.
The Earthquake of 1829 forced to reconstruct it with
safer buildings and a more propitious urbanism to minimize the effects of these
natural phenomena, and therefore its historical patrimony disappeared.
However, they still have interesting buildings such as
the Casino, the Iglesia de San Andrés with a Christ similar to the one
presiding over the city of Rio de Janeiro, and the City Hall.
Located near to the Segura River, it presents fertile
orchards, from which stand out the one of the artichoke.
