Campo de Mirra / Camp de Mirra (El)

​It is one of the municipalities included in the known as Vall de Beneixama, formed by the own Beneixama and Cañada, in the Alto Vinalopó district. Named by the Civil Governor, the poet D. Ramón de Campoamor, at the end of the nineteenth century, as it used to be called El Campet. In a nearby castle signed Jaime I of Aragon and Alfonso X of Castile, on March 26, 1244, the Treaty of Almizra by which the boundaries between the two Kingdoms were delimited. A stone at the foot of the hill indicates where the Spanish King camped.
