Town of average size located near the municipality of Elche and Crevillente, in the northern entrance of Bajo Segura district, and whose inhabitants work fundamentally in the agriculture. A benign weather and good lands from fluvial alluviums make prosperous its agricultural exploitation, although the shoe industry is increasingly booming. Its municipality is mostly devoid of developable lands; and borders on the Embalse del Hondo, declared as being a Protected Natural Area, where you can access taking attractive excursions through the rural paths, and where there is a settlement of birds and fish.
