It is located in the northern part of the province, in the Marina Alta district. Its municipality presents two different areas. In the middle of them is located the Alto de Llorença, where you can find the urban and historical center: it is a scene of promontories dedicated to the agriculture. Nowadays there is a rich landscape full of almonds and Muscatel grapes crops, with riuraus, typical building where they dry the raisins. There are also several urbanizations which have caused an important activity in services and tourist attention. The urban area is located far from the coast, on a hillock, and it has an appearance of traditional town. The other part is the coast, with large and steep cliffs, where you can find small coves such as the one of Llebeig, Almoraig and Tiesto, a nudist beach.
