A skillful tinsmith, at the beginning of this century, made a tin tartana to give to his children. This show of affection turned the mountainous town of Ibi into the National Toy Center, an industry that has changed its history, its demographics and its urban structure. But previously, since the 17th century, the inhabitants of Ibi were already engaged in the cold industry with the sale of ice collected in the surrounding mountains. This activity would make them be pioneers, together with the ice creams production in Xixona. Ibi has been growing and industrializing thanks to the toy, being the largest national producer in the sector. There is a monument dedicated to the Three Wise Men, a Toy Museum, a Technological Toy Institute and a work calendar that starts in May and ends with the arrival of the Three Wise Men. They have recovered and rehabilitated their typical old town and they have also reinstated the winter festivities and the "enfarinats".
