It is a well-known municipality visited by the entire province because of its grape, its pilgrimages and peregrinations to the sanctuary of San Pascual and the Virgen de Orito, and also for its anise liqueur with which the popular drink "paloma" is made. Located in the plains of the middle course of the Vinalopó River, it is a town of typical Arab profile with its labyrinth of concentric streets revolving around the old Mosque, nowadays the Parochial Church. You can hike visiting the sanctuary of San Pascual y la Virgen. Other patrimonial elements are an Iberian bull found in 1974 and a Roman tombstone that can be seen in the Municipal Museum Collection.
