As a result of cultural diversity, Monóvar is a city marked by the charisma of the different cultures that have populated it over the years. Iberians, Romans, Arabs and Christians... Monóvar is past, present and all that will come to enjoy. It is also famous for being the birthplace of the writer of the 98, Azorín, and whose house, where he spent part of his youth, is now a splendid museum dedicated to his memory.

The mild winters and the warm temperatures during the summer, contribute to the fact that Monóvar presents an attractive climate throughout the year.

Monóvar is also a city of traditions. Tradition in the kitchen, with the most typical recipes of Monóvar, where rice and gazpachos stand as main protagonists; It is also well known and recommended the Fondillón wine, and the wines produced in these lands. The traditional festivals full of character and charm. But if there is something that defines the town, it is undoubtedly the hospitable and welcoming character of its people. Tradition and innovation are combined in a village with roots, but open to change.
